Announcing the McElroy Weddings Website Re-Launch

McElroy Weddings is pleased to announce our 2015 website re-launch! We’ve worked with professionals to extensively improve the visual design and functionality of our site. Lauren de Castro, Sales and Marketing Executive at McElroy Weddings, says, “Key changes are the simple layout of the site (easy to navigate) and a cleaner explanation of what we are about as a company. With our site evolving, we are as well — as an award-winning company for wedding videography.” Keep reading for a step-by-step introduction to these key changes in order to get the most out of our new website experience.

Navigation

Our number one focus in designing our new layout was to consider audience and user needs. While maintaining a visually appealing landscape, the site is easier than ever to navigate through. After taking in our intro video at the top of the homepage, you will be able to scroll through the entirety of the website’s content without returning to the navigation bar. This means if you’re a new visitor and want to learn anything and everything about McElroy Weddings, you’ll have access to our portfolio, about page, team introductions, package descriptions, FAQs, blog, and contact information without a single click! As our company has evolved, we’ve developed new crisper explanations of our services, mission, and process; all of which you will come across as you scroll through.

Intro Video

Our new intro video is perhaps the most eye-catching, visually pleasing feature of the new site. The 7-minute, high definition video is almost at a full screen format and is the first thing viewers will see when visiting the site. The video features snippets from dozens of our best and most recent wedding videos. And we’re not holding anything back! The video reveals footage of everything from venue details, formals, pre-ceremonies, and first looks to ceremonies and receptions. The intro video is not just a way for us to show off the work we’re proud of. It can speak for itself in answering initial questions new clients may have about the services we offer. It can also be useful to clients right off the bat in identifying which content or effects they may or may not want featured in their own videos.

New Trailers, New Music

The first section after the intro video is our Portfolio. This constantly evolving section features trailers of our most recent and best quality videos. A brand new aspect of this section is our gradual shift from mainstream music to royalty-free music. We have found that this is a better choice for the trailers for several reasons. The less recognizable (but still stunning) music keeps the focus of the video on the couple and their unique wedding experience. Most importantly, the beautiful instrumentals keep the video timeless. See our blog for more info and advice on selecting music for your video, starting with the following post:

New Packages

The new layout includes an easy-to-read chart explaining our new service packages that were enrolled just a few months ago. Lauren de Castro provides an explanation of these new options:  “Our basic packages include a cinematic highlight video (15-20 min) of the entire day as well as a wedding trailer (3-5 min video). You can a la carte purchase any chapters you would like in order to customize and make the package your very own! Or you can upgrade to Package 2 or 3 which offers the great essentials from your big day.” Click on “Packages” on the navigation bar to get a more in-depth description or to inquire.

Responsive Web Design

Cisco VNI recently released their predictions for Mobile Data Traffic through the year 2019. These are just a few of their findings:

●   Monthly global mobile data traffic will surpass 24.3 exabytes by 2019.

●   The number of mobile-connected devices exceeded the world’s population in 2014.

●   The average global mobile connection speed will surpass 2 Mbps by 2016.

●   Because of increased usage on smartphones, smartphones will reach three-quarters of mobile data traffic by 2019.

●   Tablets will exceed 10 percent of global mobile data traffic by 2016.

We understand the power and importance of responsive web design, and for that reason, the McElroy Weddings site is now fully accessible on mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets. Check out our info and video content any time – even on the go!
