2015 Top Wedding Venues in New England

New England has once again proved to be a perfect place to tie the knot! We recently re-watched all 140 weddings from 2014 for our upcoming demo reel, and while doing so we reflected on the diverse, astonishing wedding venues we had the privilege of filming at this year. With venues ranging from electric downtown Boston to serene Cape Cod, it’s hard to narrow it down to just 10! Here are our choices for the top wedding venues of 2015:

 

10. New Bedford Whaling Museum: New Bedford, MA

Hosting a wedding in a museum is a refreshing break from the mold! At the New Bedford Whaling Museum, your guests will be blown away by the nautical paintings and décor, all while overlooking the ocean. Not to mention, the museum is home to the largest ship model in existence!

9. Alden Castle: Brookline, MA

In 2014 we had the pleasure of filming at Alden Castle for the first time! Located in Brookline, the Alden Castle is one of the incredible Longwood Venues located in New England. The castle is described as “modern vintage,” reminiscent of 16th century architecture.

8. Willowdale Estate: Topsfield, MA

What makes the Willowdale Estate unique is it’s diverse settings for every stage of your big day! With stunning bridal suites, an outdoor ceremony space under string lights, cocktail hour in the glass conservatory, and reception in an outdoor tent (rain or shine), your guests will be entertained from start to finish.

7. The Villa at Rider Country Club: East Bridgewater, MA

5. The Barn at Gibbet Hill: Groton, MA

The Barn at Gibbet Hill is the ideal venue for quaint, rustic themed weddings! The recently renovated, century-old barn hosts one event at a time, so you are guaranteed the staff’s undivided attention. With string lights lining the wooden railings, The Barn at Gibbet Hill will literally make your wedding sparkle!

4. Fairmont Copley Plaza: Boston, MA

Chances are if you’re from New England, you’ve heard of the Fairmont Copley Plaza. Also located in Boston, yet with a totally different ambiance, is The State Room! Another venue from Longwood, The State Room can be described in one word: astounding. Located atop a skyscraper, this modern venue has an unmatched view of the Boston skyline. Dance the night away overlooking Boston with their incredible floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows!

2. Wequassett Resort: Harwich, MA

If you are looking for a venue on Cape Cod, look no further! Wequassett has it all. Say “I do!” at an outdoor ceremony overlooking Pleasant Bay, and let loose at the reception in a sophisticated hall overlooking the water. The most distinctive aspect of a Wequassett wedding is when the bride and groom depart the reception by boat!

1. Rosecliff Mansion: Newport, RI

The Rosecliff Mansion will truly take your breath away. Located in Newport, Rhode Island, the mansion was modeled after the gardens of Versailles in the early 1900’s! The mansion is now apart of the Preservation Society of Newport County. With gorgeous architecture and ornate furnishings, all overlooking the ocean, Rosecliff tops our list of wedding venues in New England!
